rogue wave :: lake michigan

asleep at heaven's gate, the newest album from oakland band rogue wave, won't hit stores digital and physical until 18 september. anyone's guess, however, has a sneak peek for you:

rogue wave - lake michigan

catchy, no? i thought yous might like that one. rogue wave will be playing bimbo's 365 on 12 october; local music fans find your tickets here.

a brief sidenote:
do you think this title, asleep at heaven's gate, implies the queue to get in is both long and slow moving? or that like certain night clubs heaven doesn't allow entry to anyone wearing, say, tennis shoes and if that's the footwear you're killed wearing you'll have to sleep outside the gate until someone else dies holding a pair of extra dress shoes (lucky), which you can then borrow? i mean, clearly something has gone wrong if you're sleeping just outside of heaven; kind of think that might be, for some people anyway, a kind of exciting moment. so either the place is deadly dull or it's exactly as hard to get in as people say. long haired freaky people need not apply...

"Asleep at Heaven's Gate," in my opinion, is a poor choice for a title... sounds boring! That said, I do love old Rogue Wave, although I'm still undecided about this new one. Maybe it will grow on me?
