chilly winds? not exactly

given the advanced weather reports a.g. received prior to leaving for the high holidays in new england, the snow & the delayed flights, the admonitions to bring, for my california-thinned blood, as many coats as could reasonably fit inside a suitcase, frankly i expected a bit more, well, chill. rather it's been remarkably pleasant here, and yesterday, in preparation for the annual open house party at the folks' house, some parts of the driveway were shoveled by short-sleeved men. both a white and balmy christmas. which reminds me of a t-shirt spotted on a slender boy in the airport just before i departed that read, cleverly, sadly: "unfuck the planet."

these days nina wouldn't have to travel very far to escape the chilly winds; or at any rate the list of options available to would have certainly lengthened.
