portishead reunited recently, and there was much rejoicing. most of it - or at least the public bits - took place at the all tomorrow's parties festival in early december, where beth gibbons and co. played several shows over the course of a weekend and debuted a handful of new songs. i do believe, gang, that there's a new album is somewhere in the offing.
one of the most promising among the new songs portishead played at atp was "peaches," with which they closed their set. it won't be an easy task, though, for any of the tracks off the forthcoming album to unseat "roads" as a.g.'s perennial favorite.
