back when a.g. was a much younger man, attending college in southern maine, a group of high school kids from nearby york, who played loose, southern-influenced rock music under the name jeremiah freed, achieved some local acclaim. the band self-released an album and their first single, "again," a catchy song about relationships & fate - "my heart is in my hands, again" etc. - received enough radio play to warrant a concert at the state theater in portland and a contract with universal. and that was the last i heard of them. until last week that is, when i stumbled across an announcement for their last ever show. seemed like, six or so years ago, they were headed towards a different outcome.
