outside lands fesitval lineup announced

the list of bands scheduled to play the outside lands festival in august in golden gate park was revealed earlier today and it's, um, spectacular. radiohead, tom petty and jack johnson are the headliners of course, and all well and good but nothing compared to the deep and excellent supporting cast: wilco, beck, ben harper, broken social scene, devendra, cold war kids, lyrics born, andrew bird, m. ward, sharon jones & the dap kings, grace potter, manu chao, sean hayes...

with this comes news that 3 day passes (on sale next sunday, 30 march) will set you back 225$ - plus whatever inevitable fees are rolled into the purchase process. and vip accommodations will be a tidy 700$ (though it does include a commemorative poster and access to massage services.) no word about single day tickets yet. so as stellar as that list of bands may read, don't let's go overboard here; you may need a second job this summer (or some people may need a first) just to pay for this festival alone.
