jandek is an anonymous texas musician who has put together and self-released over fifty albums, most full of a sort of atonal (and occasionally unlistenable) folk and traditional music. he's something of a fascinating character, and musician, and is worth a more in-depth examination & appreciation than i'm willing to give tonight, unfortunately. but until the time that changes, you can check out more of jandek's story at his wiki page or at this unofficial guide.
