sunday night live :: cowboy junkies

this week's sunday night live comes from a 1998 performance by the cowboy junkies at the plant in sausalito. the acoustic ten-song set was broadcast live by kfog and offers, for the uninitiated, a lovely introduction to this toronto band of (mostly) siblings and their rather fine blend of country and rock music. (though in this show at least the emphasis lands more solidly on the country side; northern country.) here's the first - and my favorite - song from that performance, "good friday":
