couple people have inquired recently about that song from the dockers commercial. here it is:
marlena shaw - california soul
marlena shaw is a soul singer from new york who got her start in the mid-60s, and "california soul" was originally a single for the fifth dimension back in 1969. shaw covered it (so did marvin gaye) and, if you ask us, improved on the original. anyway, there you have it. but please do remember to use this song responsibly. anyone's guess does not condone the wanton & impulsive purchase of pants, no matter if they are wrinkle resistant. visits to san francisco, however, are always encouraged.

do you know who does the motown song on the jeep commercial that's chorus goes, "oh yeah, you're never gonna break my heart"?
i'm not familiar with that commercial, unfortunately, but the closest match i can think of off the top of my head is jean knight's "mr. bigstuff." you might try that one.
