we'd already ticketed visiter for whatever end-of-year list we happen to pull out of our hat, but after seeing the dodos play an energized, intense, sweaty set full of syncopated backbeat and twang at the independent last night we might just be ready to call them the best band in san francisco. period, paragraph, end dictation.
the dodos will be touring extensively throughout the rest of the year. their next stop, on 24 june, is doug fir in portland where, coincidentally, the following live tracks were recorded last october. definitely catch these boys every chance you have.
