self-proclaimed best rapper alive and owner of a truly amazing mouth, lil wayne will release tha carter III soon, which, as the new york times reported this morning, will be his attempt to attract, for the first time in his career to date, a mainstream audience. this particular song, produced by kanye west and featuring an infectious gospel-tinged beat, is little more than a chance for lil wayne to brag about, in his languorous way, his bonafides - "they diminish, i replenish," etc. still, even if it's little more than fluff lyrically weezy's slow delivery and that beat set it apart. have a listen:
