this week's sunday night live brings us back to france for another edition of inter fm's terrific black session series. cat power and her band, the dirty delta blues, visited earlier this year to promote her newest album, jukebox, from which most of the following come. it's a good show and aside from one false start, on "she's got you," chan and the band deliver, though our favorites of the lot are probably her cover of george jackson's "aretha, sing one for me," and the set closer, "lived in bars," originally off of her 2006 album the greatest.
