richard swift :: ground trouble jaw

richard swift has a new 5-song ep called ground trouble jaw, which he describes as "2 soul jams, 1 funny doo-wop song, and 2 synth/pop/?," available for free download (you can find copies either here, here, here or here).

the first and strongest song, an odd, sweet & brief "would you?" (short for would you like to fall in love with me? and presumably one of the soul jams), sounds a bit, especially at the beginning, like mid-career dylan doing 60's motown.
