dan zanes has been making music for family audiences for almost a decade. his 2007 album catch that train! - from which this afternoon's song, a duet with natalie merchant, comes - won a grammy award for best musical album for children, and he describes his latest album, nueva york! (okay, he's maybe over-fond of exclamation points), as "a pro-immigration cd," which is pretty rad in our opinion.
the traditional scottish song "loch lomond" doesn't celebrate multiculturalism as much as mourn a lost love, but with natalie merchant aboard we couldn't help but feature it.
