we've been a bit scattershot today in the aftermath of last night's historic election; there are loads of new discs & songs & artists to speak on and we will begin that work soon. promise.
until then, one of our all time favorite books, revolutionary road by richard yates, has received hollywood treatment (leo, kate & sam mendes, no less), and we just saw the trailer for the first time. (though we weren't keen initially on leo playing frank wheeler, he'll do a decent job from the look of things. (yes, our fingers are crossed.)) nina simone adds tension and verve the proceedings. have a look - and definitely pick up a copy of the book; it's a treasure.

So many very exciting things happening in our country this week!
I've held my breath about this movie since I learned it was being filmed. My fingers are crossed as well, but this trailer restores my faith a bit...and I think Kate Winslet will nail April Wheeler.
